In accordance with House Bill 95, signed into law August 28, 1997, Marion County E-911 will attempt to keep 9-1-1 phone lines free from non-emergency calls to prevent an emergency call from a prolonged delay for assistance.

The policy shall be to first educate and seek cooperation and to pursue legal action only as a last resort.
